Across those two sittings, every component must reach the minimum, and you cannot mix results from different test providers. Two OET attempts can be combined, but an OET result and an IELTS result cannot.
The IELTS One Skill Retake exception
IELTS offers a One Skill Retake, where you re-sit a single section within a short window after your original test. Under the current AHPRA rules this retake does not count as a separate second sitting, which can be useful if you are strong across the board but fell short on one skill. This flexibility currently applies to IELTS only.
Tests are sat at physical centres
